Boiler fired with natural gas or LP gas.
Lock the boiler into high fire in the “Manual Modulation” menu. Clock the meter to verify the boiler is inputing proper btu’s. Does the boiler rate match input?
Set the High Limit to 180F
Set High Limit to 180F
Replace flow switch
On the Status screen do you see a small blinking triangle toward the end of the boiler firing and shutting off on temperature?
When the triangle is flashing before the boiler shuts down press the triangle. What is the message displayed when you press it?
The boiler may require cleaning. A dirty boiler will have reduced input due to restricting air flow through the boiler. Clean boiler and re-check.
If possible turn water pressure up.
Check incoming gas pressure on high fire and verify it is above the minimum gas pressure on the rating label.
Adjust gas pressures to spec.
Is the gpm flow from the faucet within spec?
PHNTMC-150…..3.7 gpm
PHNTMC-180…..4.4 gpm
PHNTMC-135….3.0 gpm
Is the temperature of the water leaving the mixing valve near the same temperature at the problem area?
Cold water is mixing into the hot water system somewhere between the mixing valve and the problem area. It could be at a washer machine or a different single handle faucet.
Wait for the boiler water temperature to rise to 160f or higher. Is the water exiting the flat plate heat exchanger ansd entering the mixing valve hot port very hot?
